Captain Jesus

Out of the many tournaments I have competed in over the course of my life, the last tournament on Lake Pickwick earned its place as one of the most significant tournaments that I have competed in. It was not significant in a sense of how I finished, but the life lesson that I gathered from this event. This event sent me a wake up call. I learned that my faith in God was no where near what his standards require. Over the course of the week, my partner and I experienced some of the most incredible works that only the Good Lord himself could have made possible. There is absolutely no doubt that God was in the boat with us during the entire week. How he made his presence known to me was completely overwhelming. The bible says that "faith without works is dead" and through this event, God opened my eyes to see that my faith has been small. It's remarkable to see how God will take something that you thoroughly enjoy to correct you, rather than adjusting you through something with a negative outcome. The most important thing I gathered from this tournament is to never lose faith in God. Keep your eyes focused on God, and you will be amazed at the blessings you will receive.
